Is MM2H immigration? Does it affect my nationality?
No. MM2H is a long-term residence visa: your passport and nationality stay unchanged. It gives your family a second home to live in, and it is not permanent residency.
How long does it take?
With documents complete, approval usually takes about 2 months, subject to Ministry of Tourism processing. We update you proactively at every milestone.
Can the fixed deposit be withdrawn?
Partially. One year after approval, up to 50% may be withdrawn for property purchase, healthcare or education in Malaysia; the rest stays until the visa ends.
Can the whole family apply together?
Yes. Spouses and children under 21 join as dependants, and parents can accompany long term. Children can enrol in international schools.
How long must we stay each year?
Main applicants under 50: 90 cumulative days per year. Aged 50 and above: no minimum stay.
Why must applications go through a licensed agent?
It is the official rule: MM2H applications are filed only by licensed agents, never by individuals directly. That is exactly why verifying the licence is step one.
